Players would just hit a prick wall with no ways to progress. You lost most of your party to curse or wounds and have only a handful of surviving characters - yet end game fights is like 8-10 enemies and they just swarm you everyturn. Game have rogue like element in it and than someone dies - he dies for good, imagine if this game would have traditional turn system ? Still, playing same fights with full party isnt all thet hard either, i played Pheng entire compaign without using him once (outside of tutorial fight). Lo Pheng is rather poor example since he is meant to fight alone, he start with 0 energy so he is easily killed unless move every turn. Having one character with very good damage and either healing, aoe or ability that allows him / her to tank will be stronger than having that character and 5 other weaker characters, which is just dumb.įor example, in the 2nd part of the 3rd story (with that Elon Musk look-alike asian guy and 5 women), it's a lot easier if you use just him instead of using the whole party. Lmao, are you for real?Īnyway, in case you are serious and looking for a reasonable answer, it's about how this decision affects gameplay balance.
